A magnificent Hroar Prydz butterfly brooch in sterling silver vermeil and inlaid with a striking white enamel, red and grey guilloche detail. Hallmarks date this piece circa 1925 - 1970 and the brooch measures approx. 63x37mm.

Jeweller Hroar Prydz worked in Oslo, Norway and is well known for his exquisite butterfly brooches. His work was eventually purchased by the renowned Norwegian silversmith 'David-Andersen's company (who is also famous for its enamel butterfly brooches and jewellery).
