This 9ct gold pendant is a great and very rare example of Georgian mourning jewellery. Made popular by Queen Victoria it is more uncommon to see pieces pre-dating Victorias reign. Engraved "Horace", with a lock of his hair encased behind the glass. Little Horace was born on 2nd of June 1779 and passed on the 2nd of June 1788. A beautiful example of the eternal nature of mourning jewellery.
